SCC NASHVILLE, TN...October 23, 2007...Celebrating the moment with the release of his new studio project, This Moment (Sparrow Records), multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award winning Steven Curtis Chapman receives media acclaim, radio success and continues to raise inspiring numbers for orphans worldwide. Today fans get a taste of what Chapman created on his sixteenth studio project and what is being praised as “among the best of his career” (Billboard) and “a thoughtful original” (USA Today).

This project is not only receiving buzz from the media but on the airwaves as the radio single debut, “Miracle of the Moment,” is currently receiving more than 15 million audience impressions and charting at No. 3 on AC Monitored and No. 5 on AC Indicator this week. Concert goers have already received a sample of what This Moment is about since the fall nationwide tour began in September and concludes November 16th (http://stevencurtischapman.com for remaining dates/cities).

As his theme for this record, Chapman truly wants to embrace the here and now, “I want to remind people that God is more concerned with our day-to-day than we might think. He is not just in the valley or on the mountaintop. He’s on the straight open road, too. I hope we can begin to really experience what he’s doing in This Moment.”

Continuing to make an impact for orphans, the “Change for Orphans” campaign builds and increases in the amount of “change” raised each night on the tour. Currently the campaign has raised more than $50,000 for Shaohannah's Hope that has been awarded for financial grants for families looking to adopt. As of this week, 16 families have been locally impacted by receiving a grant from Shaohannah’s Hope each night. Desiring to connect with his fans on the new album, Chapman will launch a live video chat on the rapidly growing website GodTube.com on Thursday, October 25th at 11:30 am Central. GodTube.com receives more than eight million unique users with 17 million page impressions a month.

“This new CD showcases a singer/songwriter still at the peak of his game. When it comes to celebrating faith and family, no one does so with more passion than Chapman, and this album is among the best of his career.” --Billboard

“Chapman’s musical style has remained true to himself, structured on the acoustic guitar, but brought to sweeping levels in gorgeous strings and the occasional well-timed choral background singers, This Moment is nothing less than phenomenal.” --Worship Leader

Steven Curtis Chapman has sold over ten million records including two RIAA certified platinum albums and seven RIAA certified gold albums. Along with his Dove and GRAMMY © awards, Chapman has won an American Music Award, has recorded 44 No. 1 US radio hits as well as receiving numerous other honors. He has performed at the White House and has appeared on: CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, CMT, FOX News, Hallmark, E! as well as the CBS Sunday Morning, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, among many others.

About Shaohannah’s Hope:
In a response to the miracle they saw in their own family through adoption and with a desire to help eliminate the obstacle of finances for families they knew, Chapman and his family established Shaohannah’s Hope Foundation in 2000. Then in 2002, as opportunities to financially assist families ready to adopt far outpaced the Chapman’s personal abilities to fund; the foundation began accepting donations to raise further financial grants for willing families. In 2003, Shaohannah’s Hope became an official 5010(c) 3 non-profit organization. Arriving at a milestone in October 2006, Chapman and Shaohannah’s Hope were thrilled to announce the 1,000th grant awarded. Shaohannah’s Hope receives approximately 125 adoption assistance applications a month, with funding capacity, currently, to award 30-40 grants each month with an average amount of $3,000. Chapman has become a voice for this cause, with fans, and strangers, responding mobilizing hundreds of donors giving to the foundation with a great need for thousands more. His message has impacted others, and a web of influence has been created through the foundation.
